A summer lunch with friends and family
Last August 11, we enjoyed one of those days that make summer at Marina Marbella even more special. 14 boats gathered at Anantara by the Beach to share a table, conversations, laughter and, above all, a pleasant time with the Marina Marbella team.
What began as a get-together among clients has, over the years, become an almost family tradition. Because at Marina Marbella we like to think our clients are much more than that: they are part of our family.
Every year we organise this lunch with a very special purpose: to discover and share with our clients new places along our coast where they can enjoy the sea from land as well. Beach clubs with an authentic Mediterranean essence, a nautical atmosphere and excellent service, and of course a tender pick-up service—perfect for stopping during a day’s cruising, mooring up, relaxing and enjoying a wonderful meal by the sea.
This get-together is also our own way of celebrating summer: seeing each other again, reuniting one more year and enjoying that passion for the sea that brings us together.
But this year, the get-together also had a very special meaning. We had the great joy of welcoming Mark Smith, a true institution within Marina Marbella—practically part of its origins—and a much-loved figure, known and respected by our clients.
A tireless worker, an exceptional colleague and one of those people who are part of Marina Marbella’s living history, Mark has left an indelible mark over all these years. That is why being able to share this lunch with him—especially now, on the eve of his well-deserved retirement—was a source of great joy for all of us, and also an opportunity to celebrate and thank him for so many years of dedication, commitment and affection for this home.
It was a pleasure to share this day with all of them and to see, once again, that after 60 years of history, we still keep the same enthusiasm, the same excitement and the same desire to enjoy the sea.
Thank you for being part of this family. And thank you, Mark, for so many years as part of ours.
See you next summer… and, in the meantime, may the cruising days, the great anchorages and the unforgettable moments at sea continue!
