Virgen del Carmen

The arrival at the Puerto Deportivo of Marbella of the Virgen del Carmen, which is submerged in the sea all year in a cave located in Torre del Cable to protect the sailors.
Adrián León, part of the Marina Marbella team tells us his experience:
“It is one of the most beautiful moments for sea lovers, we live this day with a great emotion, when we take the virgin out of the water to clean and venerate her in memory of all the sailors who are no longer among us and the moment of her return to the cave is an experience that goes beyond the festivity “*

16th July, this day is to honour the Patron Saint of the sea, the Virgen of Carmen, with a nautical procession. The departure, from Puerto Pesquero (the fishing port), is scheduled at 19:00, from where the boats will accompany the Patron Saint to Puerto Banus, and then continuing to Puerto Deportivo of Marbella. There, they will disembark the Patron Saint to continue with the procession by land, to the Church La Encarnación in the centre of Marbella
